This 1811 Capped Bust Half Eagle is an attractive example with light yellow to olive golden patina. This is of the BD-2, R3 Variety that is the Small 5 type. There was a total mintage in 1811 of 99,581 total examples in two dies that year. This capped bust in the Small 5 variety is to have an estimated survival of around 300 total examples in all grades and only about 100 in MS60+. We are offering this coin well below PCGS Price Guide of 23,500 and Greysheet Price guide of 21,500. We hand selected this coin at the last coin show and added it to our inventory because it has an incredible eye appeal along with what we thought was a below market price tag.
